Self-taught artist, Yampa Mountain High School, Glenwood Springs CO

I make hollow, hand-built ceramic figurative sculptures from clay slabs. All work is fired to cone 6-7 or 2194 - 2219 degrees Fahrenheit in an electric kiln. I use stoneware, porcelain and paper clay.

The accenting use of steel for claws or bone for horns, adds completion,  durability and even an element of danger. Poor handling can result in personal injury.

I am content to observe life with gratuity and acceptance.  Growing up, I have been drawn to experience what my path is to live and independently mess up on my own accord. Creating my personal demons ripe with life lessons as narrative ceramic sculptures mirrors the realizations that have come from living. I view my art career as a method of introspection. I can see myself with compassion, forgiveness and even more so for the rest of the world and all living beings.
